[Her heart drops. Fuck. The idea of not moving around, of having anything resembling a home is terrifying and foreign.

[Jade's words come out quickly, almost too fast, as if she's afraid if she doesn't say it know she'll never get the chance to.]

[She really likes Jade. Maybe a little too much. No matter how afraid she is, Ellie can't turn this down.]

[A long pause; as she realizes what she's just said. Realizes that it's true.]

Really? You're sure? You don't have to say yes. You can change your mind. This doesn't have to be permanent unless you want it to be... [The words come out in one solid, worried rush, and Jade only stops in order to take a breath.]

Jade? Breathe. I, um. I'm sure. I really am.

[She'll explain later that she's going to skip out a couple nights a week, just to make herself feel better. That Jade shouldn't be surprised or scared if Ellie wanders out in the middle of the night.

Little does Ellie know, she'll find herself doing so less and less often.

In the moment, setting fear aside, she's beginning to feel kind of warm. Pleased. Jade asked her.]

[Jade's so surprised, so relieved that she lets out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. You can practically hear her grin.]

Dude, you don't have to thank me. I'm just... I'm glad you think it's a cool idea.

[Her voice is full of affection.]
